Oddly, I can get statistics and cook books to help with that.

But I can't remember any of the other items I've used.
I can't find "Better homes and campgrounds" for decorating advice
I can't find any books on animal training. Sheesh, can't we "shine some light" on that subject .

(And I'm still looking for a beginner level, introduction to combinatorics / statistics textbook, by the way.)

Well, for Pets, you'd really never need to know which item gives you which pet, because once you have a pet, there's currently no way to get rid of the pet (which is the only reason you'd need to use that item again).

Actually, I suppose that information might be useful for trading purposes, but I think the utility is pretty limited compared to cooking/combining, which most do frequently.
