Hit points gained from food/drink

Post by heretic »

Hello,

I'm wondering why it seems I'm not gaining any real HP from eating/drinking. For example:
You eat the Orange Juice...
Tastes smooth and orangey.
You gained 22% stamina.
You gained 22 hit points.
But my HP did not go up 22 points. Am I missing something?

Thank you and great game!

Are you already at max HP? Food only raises your current HP, not your max HP.

I was unaware there was a max HP per level. Where do I get this?

There may be some confusion here.

Food items restore your HP, they don't grant you more HP.

Example: you have 100 maximum HP and are hurt, bringing you down to 79 HP. You drink an orange juice that ordinarily grants you 22 HP. Since you are only missing 21 HP then these 21 HP are restored and the 1 remaining HP granted by the juice has no effect (is wasted).

Thank you - there was indeed some confusion. Maybe a change in wording might be helpful?
