Would it be possible/feasible to have the items close when you click on their title bar rather than having to click the '[X]'?

Close or collapse? Clicking on the title in a number of other places (Inventory groups for example) will collapse the box now, it seems like a bad idea to mix usages.

This doesn't really make a lot of sense anymore, since you can drag boxes around now there's nowhere in the title area that isn't used.
