I haven't gotten one shrubbery by now. Is there another way to get it?

They're not that rare. Keep at it, sometimes you just get unlucky. Or check the Market or Swap Shop.

It took me a full level (might have been 1.5 levels even) to get my shrubberies. I think that the encounter rate for the Knight is approx. 30% and the drop rate of the item is approx. 40% (just judging from my past encounters) -- that is to say, it should be fairly common. Sometimes, the roll of the dice will not favor you and you'll need to try at it a bit longer.
