cooking, is this intended?

ok i just tried to cook an olive and a strawberry (who knows what that would taste like...) and it told me this

Maybe you should pay more attention while you're doing that next time.

* You're left with a Watermelon.

was it intended to give me a watermelon like that and if it was, why is it worded to sound like it was something i tried to combine to begin with?

Yes, that's intended.

When you try and cook something for which that particular combination doesn't actually exist, there's a small chance that you'll get a random new food item. I tweaked the wording slightly though, as it wasn't intended to imply that you began with it.
