Game! - Where the stick is mightier than the sword!

I'm personally finding it hard to find a use for certain items. I.e., just acquired a lump of carbon but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of hints for its use. Does watching a specific movie or having a knowledge of a specific topic help with the discovery of items or is it generally just luck?

A taste for bad puns is a handy asset. However, you can't do anything with the Lump of Carbon at the moment.

Well, its still the best money I ever spent. I had to replace my rock sadly.
